SUCCESS
“Becoming a parent is a mine field of new challenges. For me, one of the toughest parts was the year-long nightly battle to prepare bottles correctly. I dread to think how many bottles of formula were thrown down the sink (or given to our cat) because the simple counting from one to seven was an impossible task or someone spoke to you when you were on four or was that five….Thankfully for our most recent arrival I was delighted to discover the availability of an automatic powdered formula dispenser, the Bottle Buddy.
It does exactly what it says by counting out the number of inputted scoops and dispensing them directly into a bottle. Although it looked complicated on opening of the packaging, the instruction manual provided detailed step-by-step instructions on how to assemble each piece. I was able to complete this without any extra tools in approximately 10 minutes. An easy matrix showing the proper scoop setting for each popular brand of formula was also provided. The machine is clearly designed to be simple and robust. All items are dishwasher and steriliser proof. The display is digital and the controls are simple and obvious. It’s as compact as you could expect a machine doing this job to be. All though it stated within the instructions that the water needs to be, at most 70 degrees Celsius when dispensing, I would say that this is still too hot. Any steam rising from the water in the bottle will cause the workings to gum up and will require cleaning out before you can be sure it will dispense correctly again. Aside from this one issue, I have been delighted with our Bottle Buddy Powder Dispenser. Before I became a parent I would have assumed that a product like this was extravagant and gimmicky. However, now I can truly say that I wish this had been available seven years ago when I first started trying to count scoops to make bottles with a million other things going through my mind at the same time. Plus our cat would be a lot thinner!!” |
